"Crystallize came out of the first session I had with fellow LA-based musician Lex Low. He started with the key progression you hear in the intro while I sang along trying out different ideas. I ended up putting together a chorus and verse from 2 different songs I had written previously and we reworking them in and elaborated. The mashup of the two songs and production came together effortlessly and had the perfect vibe. I started writing different lyrics for the second verse and Lex suggested just repeating the first verse. Lex has a chill, less is more approach that I really appreciate. The song is about truth, reality and perception and how they intertwine; something I’ve been thinking a lot about lately."
